Interim Executive Board
What is an IEB?
An IEB is a governing body appointed for a temporary period in exceptional circumstances with the specific task of ensuring school improvement. The IEB’s main functions are to secure a sound basis for future improvement in the school and to promote high standards of educational achievement.
The IEB will take on the responsibilities of a normally constituted governing body, including the management of the budget, the curriculum, staffing, pay and performance management and the appointment of the headteacher and deputy headteacher.
