Kobi Nazrul - Primary School

PE and Sports Premium

The government is spending over £150 million per annum on improving PE and sport in primary schools. Funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport.  Money will be going directly to primary schools to spend improving the quality of PE and sport, for all primary-aged pupils, so that they develop healthy lifestyles.

At Kobi Nazrul Primary School, we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of the children.  We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.

The funding the school receives will enable us to improve and extend sports provisions.

Further information can be found on the government website.

Schools have the freedom to choose how they allocate resources for PE/Sports and will be accountable for money is spent and Impact on children. One of the conditions is to publish on the schools website an expenditure plan.

Please see below a breakdown of how the school intends to utilise the Primary Schools Sports Fund.
